Growing up, I was always involved with sports. Through high school, I played soccer in the fall, basketball in the winter, and ran track during the spring. I was always driven and competitive in those sports, and in my senior year, I was fortunate to be part of a great 4x800m relay team. We won sectionals for our class in the 4x800m relay and went on to compete in state qualifiers my senior year. From there, my goal was to see if I could make a collegiate track and field team. The funny thing is, even after competing in Division 3 in track and field, I still didn't know I would get into coaching as my profession and passion.

After finishing my undergraduate degree, I was introduced to CrossFit. Soon after, the desire to coach others led me down a path I would have never thought of way back then. Since 2012, I have been coaching and working tirelessly to educate myself on anything and everything movement, health, and sport-related. I've coached everything from 1 on 1 session, semi-private personal training sessions, large group workouts, trained youth and high school sports teams, and even run my own running technique seminars/clinics (no pun intended - okay maybe a little). I spent years coaching CrossFit specifically, but since then I've been interested in experimenting and applying other strength and conditioning methodologies to help my clients the best that I can. I've learned that the specific methodology doesn't matter quite as much, as long as you can help the person who is trusting your guidance get the results that they want and need.

Over the past 10+ years, I started with a coach with an urge to learn as much as I can to make me the best coach that I can be and to learn as much as I can about how to help others solve the health and movement problems that they need help resolving, but now I've taken that same desire to learn and applied to trying to be the best facility owner that I can be. My focus now is to help as many people as I can live stronger, healthier, and injury-free so they can enjoy their lives how they choose to live.
